FAQ:
Q: How good is the sound quality on the Radio Shack Radio Shack?
A: The built in speaker is very tinny. The speaker is quite small, but could be better. The antenna/strap is very sensative to position for reception. Have to mess with it quite a bit. Sound quality with earbuds is quite good. I have purchased a lot of Radio Shack equipment through the years and I expected better quality sound from this radio.
Q: Why buy a portable pocket radio?
A: Some radios get static if you don’t touch but not this one. Our compact, lightweight portable pocket radio lets you listen to AM/FM radio wherever you go. The simple, no-hassle analog controls are easy to use. Built-in speaker.
Q: What are some of your memories of Radio Shack?
A: Growing up in the 1960s-70s Radio Shack was bicycle distance from my house, and I have fond memories of being in the battery of the month club, as well as buying resistors, tubes, and other parts and supplies for my amatuer electronic experiements. (my dad owned a tv/radio repair business, I’ve always been into it).
Q: Does the pocket radio work with FM 104?
A: It works but if it says 104 it’s actually 106. Kinda annoying. I purchased both the analog and digital AM/FM pocket radios. The analog radio worked great with good sensitivity on both AM and FM. The little pocket sized digital has nice features with digital tuning, presets, alarm clock but as a usable radio, it totally fails.
