FAQ:
Q: Should I wait for the gx9 or GX8?
A: Still waiting for a true successor for the GX8. The GX9 should have all the features of the GX8 but the improved sensor, image stabilization, burst rate, UHD30 video recording and BT-LE. Is rainbow tearing just bothering or does it limit the function to evaluate the results?
Q: Is the Panasonic gx9 a good replacement for the GX8?
A: The Panasonic GX9 is an interesting little camera. It’s small, lightweight and does a lot of things well, including image quality, autofocus, and overall performance. But does it replace the GX8 or the GX85? Regardless of which camera it replaces, on its own, the GX9 is a really nice camera.
Q: Is the canon gx9 worth the money?
A: For the money, the GX9 really should’ve had weather sealing IMO, specially if they were sticking with that crummy EVF. The GX9 is a bargain if you want that 12-60mm lens too. Because that is a $500 lens by itself.
Q: How bad is the grip on the gx9?
A: The grip is nearly non-existent, making the camera feel very insecure when using one handed. Getting close to as bad as a bare RX100. I’ve got the GX85 (99% same body) and had to buy the GX9’s grip (pretty telling that there even is one) to make it feel as secure as holding my A6300 without anything added.
