Q: What is the size of the WD my essential plug adapter?
A: The WD My Essential is 12V DC / 1.5A / 18 WATTS As for the size … i measured the width and inner of the plug adapter with my vernier caliper width is 5.5MM and inner is 2.1MM … which is virtually standard for all WD External Hard drives ie.
Q: Does the wd5000h1u-00 hard drive work?
A: My WD hard drive works as it should and the nice thing is, this plug comes with extra adapters so maybe it can pull double, or triple duty for you with other drives or wired devices. Brought our WD5000H1U-00 back to life! My husband had all his music on the WD backup drive and thought it was all lost when the drive stopped working.
