FAQ:
Q: What do you think about freenove robot kits?
A: I’ve built a number of Freenove robot kits. They are well thought out with great fitment and features. This Big Hexapod Kit is no exception. The self-balancing feature is a great. It also has quality metal gear servos and video capabilities and much more.
Q: What are the dimensions of the freenove device?
A: (Search Freenove on App Store.) 4 x 3.7V 18650 rechargeable battery (Refer to “AboutBattery.pdf” in downloaded file to buy.) FREENOVE Ios 10 5.79 pounds 11.02 x 10.31 x 3.43 inches DDR DRAM 5 Volts
Q: How does the hexapod work?
A: The hexapod’s processor is a Freenove design based on the Arduino Mega 2560 but incorporating the necessary electronics to drive the 18 servos (three for each leg). After installing the Freenove hexapod library in the Arduino IDE, you download a supplied sketch to the board via the supplied USB cable connected to your computer.
Q: Is the Big hexapod kit worth it?
A: This Big Hexapod Kit is no exception. The self-balancing feature is a great. It also has quality metal gear servos and video capabilities and much more. You still need to purchase 4 Li-ion 18650 Cells (easily found online) and a Raspberry Pi board, if you don’t have one available (most versions are supported).
