Q: How do you remove lead from a 9mm trap?
A: Replacing the rubber and removing the Lead from the trap is straight forward. Because the rubber slows the bullet there is not a lot of Lead dust. Most of the Lead is large pieces. If this unit is supposed to withstand 9mm strikes on the back plate then it should have much better fastening system for the plate than some little tack welds.
Q: What is the purpose of the ballistic rubber on traps?
A: The ballistic rubber slows the round and prevents it from shattering against the steel and prevents this ricochete from coming back through the target which results in Lead outside the trap. It also has more area to mount targets that other traps
Q: What size bullet is rated for the ballistic rubber panel?
A: Rated for up to: 9 mm FMJ (115GR) Note: The life of the ballistic rubber panel will be highly dependent on the caliber and type of bullet used. The FMJ type rounds will not be as destructive to the panel’s life as the FTX, HP, XTP or SP bullets.
